Accountabilities:
A proactive role in planning, organizing, and evaluating the purchasing
activities of the company.
• Purchase Order management - from initiate to close out of Purchase Order
• Interfaces with suppliers.
- build and maintain strategic supplier relationships to ensure cost, support and flexibility requirements are achieved.
- identify and research new suppliers as required.
• Inventory management - which includes
- minimizing inventory liability
- organize, control and execute the procurement of materials to support production schedules and demands
- ensure that any parts required for planned schedule releases are received in a timely manner
- address and resolved situation such as supply chain shortages, allocations, discrepant material (RMR), and alternate sources of supply
• Ensure inventory system integrity, on-time delivery, and purchase price variance of assigned projects
• Expedite
- coordinate and monitor movement of parts and ensure they are shipped and received on schedule.
- notify Sales Managers and production of any delivery issues.
• Investigates and resolves questions associated with invoices
• Actively participates in material cost reduction activities
• Provide ongoing support to purchasing agents and any other staff with purchasing issues
• Other duties as assigned
Skills & Knowledge:
• Good communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• Working knowledge in electronics and contract manufacturing industry
• Proficiency in Computer literacy including MS Office
• Team player attitude
• Understanding of ERP systems
• Must have the ability to multi-task, prioritize assignments, work well under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Education & Experience:
• 2-3 year's related experience in electronics manufacturing services environment
• Experience within an ERP environment
• Certification or enrollment in CPP, PMAC and / or APICS preferred
